Enjoy with your group the historical center of Mexico City on a private, 3-hour tour. Walk through the main streets of this area accompanied by a local guide and learn about the heritage, culture, and history of the city.
First go to the Zócalo, the heart of the city. The area is surrounded by the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Palace, the Old Town Hall, and other colonial buildings. See the Templo Mayor. Find out how Mexico won its independence in 1821, and learn about the 2 times that independence was threatened. Visit the spot where the revolution took place in 1910, and find out about the different social and artistic expressions that resulted.
Your tour will also take you to the Museum of the City of Mexico, the Palace of Fine Arts, and the National Museum of Anthropology. Walk by the Hospital de Jesús Nazareno, one of the oldest buildings in the city.
Pass by architectural wonders, such as the Palacio de Mineria, and see marvelous structures, such as the monument, Angel de la Independencia, and the fountain of Diana, known as La Fuente de la Diana Cazadora.
Explore the neighborhood of Zona Rosa, an upscale community that is home to plenty of shopping and nightlife, where many gay people and Koreans have settled. Then see Condesa, home to students and intellectuals in the city. Along the way, stop off at bakeries and pulquerias(small establishments selling alcohol) to discover the local flavors of the city.
