MUNAL is the Mexican National Art Museum, and is located in the historical center of Mexico City and used to be seat to the Palace of Communications and Public Works. It's housed in a neoclassical building and includes a large collection that represents the history of Mexican art from around the 16th century to the mid 20th century. Nowadays you can visit both the art museum as well as the museum of the telegraph, located inside the same building.

One of the main features of this museum, and also the most famous, is Manuel Tolsá's large equestrian statue of Charles IV of Spain, regent monarch just before Mexico gained its independence.
