This was such a great day! We had the transport pick us up at a hotel down the street from our AirBnB at a very early 5:30 am. Definitely use the transport because we heard from other people that it was really hard to find the hot air balloon place in an Uber. The hot air balloon part was awesome! We went above the clouds and it was surreal. Then went to get breakfast at a nearby restaurant where there was a yummy buffet. That was where Miguel picked us up and took us to the pyramids. We got a great long tour of the pyramids and the surrounding ruins. Had a quick snack outside the pyramids. Then we got to see Miguel's home where he has an obsidian workshop and did agave and tequila tastings. Overall a pretty long day but really really fun. Got back around 4 pm or something like that. Definitely recommend! Miguel was awesome.
This is a bucket list trip. I've never been in a hot air balloon before and the experience was out of the world. Booking and arrangements were easy. The views are mind blowing. Do it! We were happy to pay for the high end tour which meant we had Miguel to ourselves on a personal tour. His passion and knowledge for the site and its history simply enhance the experience. A sense of humour and cheerful encouragement is just what you need to get up to the top of the pyramids. I'd recommend the walking trip rather than the bike ride! Quesidalla a pollo at the snack bar at the top of the site is just what you need after the leg workout. The local drinks tasting is a must do - tequila without the face, Miguel knows how. To finish the day we took the option of dinner in a local cave after a brief explore in the dark. What a day, Exceptional value. They've just started doing colour light shows outside of rainy season and the video looks amazing. A fantastic reason to return. Great team, guys. Thank you.
We tried to take this tour in May of 2016, but bad weather canceled the trip. The best was that my credit card was refunded the next day. So we booked the trip again with Viator. Our pick up was on time. The Morning sky was fantastic color on the way out. Our host could not have been more enjoyable, watching the Balloons getting filled with air and hot air was entertaining. We had a woman pilot was was friendly a talented with loads of experience. We totally enjoyed the day. I would recommend Viator and Cameron balloons. Do not miss this opportunity if you are going to be in Mexico city.
Amazing trip! Both the hot air balloon and the guided tour were exceptional. Highly recommended!
Absolutely amazing experience - much better than expected! I was also worried it would be scary especially as I don't like heights, but strangely didn't bother me. Amazing views especially when the captain went above the clouds. I would highly recommend doing the bike tour also - Jorge the owner of the cycling tour company was such a gentleman and took great care of me and really made the trip special.
