7-day All-Inclusive Luxury Culinary Tour of Mykonos
7 days
About this activity
All tours are seven days, arriving on Saturday afternoon and departing the following Saturday.
Saturday: Your host will pick you up from the airport or port and transport you to your accommodations for the week, a private villa overlooking the Aegean Sea. After settling in, enjoy light welcome mezes followed by an authentic, home cooked Greek dinner at the villa.
Sunday: Visit the farmers market in the picturesque nearby village of Ano Mera. Stroll around its square, view its old monasteries and enjoy a coffee at a traditional coffee shop. After selecting your vegetables from the market, enjoy your first cooking class together. The afternoon is free for those who want to rest at the villa or explore the pristine nearby beach of Lia. Dinner at the villa.
Monday: Sail aboard a traditional kaiki boat to the virgin island of Rhenia to swim, snorkel and sun. Enjoy a traditional seafood meal at the only local’s home on the island. Please note, the trip aboard a traditional kaiki is subject to weather conditions. Alternatively, if there are strong winds, a boat trip to the southern beaches of Mykonos is planned with an al fresco lunch included. Light supper at the villa.
Tuesday: Visit a traditional Myconian dairy, where a local cheese-maker will show you how typical local cheeses are made. After sampling the cheeses, learn how to make traditional Myconian onion pie (2nd cooking class). Dinner at a local tavern (cost not included) where the owner grills a whole lamb on the spit (vegetarian options also available).
Wednesday: Free day to explore on your own the beautiful Chora of Mykonos. Visit the archaeological museum and the port with its many cafeterias and small tavernas. A walk in the small narrow streets of this beautiful port city is an unforgettable experience and some nice shopping is another good option. Lunch is on your own at one of the recommended port tavernas (not included). Transfer to the port city (Chora) with mini van or private car is included. Dinner at the villa.
Thursday: Visit a quiet, secluded local beach before visiting the winery of Maou. Meze lunch and wine tasting are included. Return to the villa for a restful afternoon and dinner cooked by your personal chef, a cookbook author and food blogger.
Friday: Your final morning cooking class leads into lunch. Your evening will be spent at the villa with a sumptuous farewell BBQ with live Greek music and dancing.
Saturday: Departure day, check out by 10am. Light breakfast with coffee, tea, juice and sweet breads or sandwiches for the road! Airport or port delivery in mini vans or private cars.
