About this activity
After meeting your guide at the departure point, take a trip to Delos Island. Upon arrival at Delos, the guide issues tickets of the archaeological site to the group members. The group gathers at the Agora of the Kompetaliasts.
Enjoy a guided introduction to the mythological, prehistorical and historical background of the island. Explore through the narrow streets of the Hellenistic City of the 4th century BC, and reach the impressive house of Dionysos.
Exceptional mosaics, well preserved marble columns and amazing wall paintings are just a few of the featured highlights of a rich man's house. Few meters beyond we admire Cleopatra with her statue decorating its entrance.
After a short stop at the house of the Trident, we reach the Theatre of Delos and the public cistern of the city. This is the end of the route in the urban side of the city; we now roll down walking on the main street to return to the market and the Sanctuary zone.
The Stoa of Phillipe, the donations of ancient celebrities, the Propylaia, the Colossus of the Naxians and the Temples of Apollo are the monuments we admire before our last stop in front of the Sacred Lake and the eternal Naxian Lions.
Free time: From this point on, continue to visit the archaeological museum and the museum shop individually.
Departure from Delos to Mykonos, flexible return time according to timetable.

Athena the tour guide was amazing full of knowledge really took her time to explain all the small details which made all the difference.
the day before the tour, the tour company changed the time of pick up. We did not get notified of such, probably because we were on a cruise ship at the time which made our text messages almost impossible to get. Consequently, we missed the tour. Tour company said it was our fault that we missed it. Buyer beware.
Interesting archeology.
This was worth every penny! The guide, Alexandra, was brilliant!
The island of Delos was incrediable to walk around. Our guide was full of knowledge. It was hard to hear sometimes because of the size of the group, but still very worth while. The boat ride was rough but I guess it is always windy there. I still would highly recommend the tour.
The island is awesome. I suggest getting the one without the tour guide. As we got there, the guide was telling all the stories about the island and spending a lot of time at each site. She was doing a great job but I am more of an explorer than standing for 15-20 min listening to details that I will forget. So I left the guide right at the beginning and went exploring on my own along with my husband and we were able to see the whole island. The group wasn't able to see all I did. If you pay for this tour without a guide as you get there, it costs only EUR 20. I paid about EUR50 through here for the guide without knowing I had this option.
