About this activity
Your Cinque Terre experience begins with a pickup from Central Station or Duomo Square, where you’ll greet your guide and board a Luxury air-conditioned motor coach destined for Ligurian sea. First stop will be at Portovenere, the gate of Cinque Terre: an amazing medieval fortified village built over the ruins of an ancient Roman settlement. Enjoy a nice walk in the narrow streets of the village, to reach the delicious little St. Peter’s church perched on the promontory, so beloved by Lord Byron. At 12:00 noon, board on the boat who will cruise for 90 min. From the bay of Venus, along the rugged coastal area of Cinque Terre, UNESCO World Heritage site. Boat cruise ends at Monterosso, the largest village of the area: explore the ancient centre and choose the place where to taste the great local gastronomic offer….an informal “ fish & veg” on the street?... Some seafood pasta?...A glass of local wine with “focaccia”? After free time for visit, we will meet at railway station to continue the excursion. Few minutes by train and stop to Vernazza, a village founded around year Thousand. Vernazza, thanks of the construction of the defensive system became one of the most prosperous village of Cinque Terre or Manarola a village located on a sharp promontory of dark rock and structured around the bed of the Groppo creek. Manarola has very ancient origin. Its name derives from the Latin “Manium Arula”: the altar dedicated to the roman god of the house. Free time to visit the village and then at the station once again to get the train to La Spezia (20 min ride). Board on our coach and drive back to Milan. You’ll be dropped off back at your departure point at the end of the day.

Great Tour, great Tour Director. We would recommend this Tour. The villages should be seen from the water.
Cinque Terre is beautiful and worth the time and effort to get there. We took a tour from Milan and the bus ride was a little long, but we enjoyed the scenery and the commentary from Oleg.
