Stop At: Khatyn Memorial, 54th km of Minsk-Vitebsk hwy, 223110 Belarus

The memorial village complex is located 65 km north of Minsk. It was unveiled on the site of a real village named Khatyn where 149 civilians were murdered by the Nazi in 1943. The whole village was burnt afterwards and was never rebuilt. This memorial is a must-see site in Belarus, if you are interested in the war events and if you would like to understand the country's history better.

Stop At: Mound of Glory, Slabada Belarus

The monument to the liberation of Belarus erected in 1969 offers nice hill top views of the area and a small exhibition of the Soviet military machinery.
