Historical park “Russia – My History”
Here we will see "The XX century. From the Great Upheaval to a Great Victory. 1917-1945" section telling about the most important events of the XX century: the participation of the Russian Empire in the First World War, the events of the Civil War, periods of collectivization and industrialization, as well as the victory and losses of the Russian people in the Second World War.
In 2017 the exhibition will add new multimedia exhibits telling about the life in Russia from 1945 till 2000. Every thematic section will present rare historical documents from the archives of the Russian Federation. Some of them used be classified as “Secret” and was out of public access.
The State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia
It is the largest center where the modern history of Russia can be studied. The most important events and phenomena which have defined Russian society and state development for one and half century, from the second half of XIX century up-to-date, are reflected in constantly replenished funds and exposition. Museum exhibits characterize many famous state and political figures, outstanding scholars, writers, artists and actors, tell about state transformations and revolutionary disruptions, wars and everyday work, ideological searches, political struggle and cultural life of the country.
The Moscow Kremlin
The territory of Moscow Kremlin – one of the largest architectural ensembles of the world which includes monuments built from the end of XV to XX centuries. Historically Moscow Kremlin was a residence of the governors and nowadays there is a Residence of the President of the Russian Federation . Buildings and churches of the Kremlin, are unique architectural structures of various schools and epoch built by outstanding architects and artists, having kept fantastic interiors of XVI-XVII and middle of XIX centuries.
Your walking tour involves the extensive Kremlin grounds with the Cathedral Square as its focal point. Surrounding the square are masterpieces of Italian architects of the 15th century. Along the way, visit the Assumption Cathedral, once a private chapel of the tsars, to admire the beautiful frescoes and a striking iconostasis.
