Village Walk and Dining Experience with Locals in Vasai

Meet home-chefs Regina and Bernard at their beautiful home in Giriz, Vasai. They will welcome you with a cool, refreshing glass of tender coconut water. Following this you can join Bernard for a walk. He will show you around the village and take you to interact with some locals so that you can know more about their way of life and also about the community of East Indians. He will take you to visit a 100-year-old church and while passing through the village you can admire some beautiful vintage homes. Once you return to their home, you can enjoy Regina’s delicious home cooked meal.

Some of the dishes that Regina may be cooking for you will include Fugias (Deep fried soft balls of flour), Potato Chops (Patties made from aromatic minced mutton wrapped in mashed potato, coated in semolina, egg batter and shallow fried), Pork Indyal (East Indian style Vindaloo), Prawn Sambari (Red Prawns curry), Chicken Green Curry and also rice prepared using caramelised onions and dry fruits. The meal will end with dessert in the form of Honey-drizzled Sukeli (This is organic honey sourced from the village and Sukeli are dried bananas).

The entire experience can last for about 3-4 hours.
