About this activity
This very leisurely bike tour of Munich begins in the morning, with your guides telling you a bit about the founding of Munich as well as the buildings there at the heart of the Old Town.
This "introduction" to the Munich sightseeing tour lasts about 15 minutes, after which you'll walk up the street to our shop's location where we have our bikes and get everyone set up and ready to roll. About 2 hours after you get started at Marienplatz, you'll stop the tour for a break in Munich’s most popular beer garden where the group will eat, drink and socialize together for about 60 minutes before proceeding with the rest of the tour. Some of the sights to see are the Hofbrauhaus, the Residenz, Max Josef Platz, Odeonsplatz, the Hofgarten, The English Garden and the famous surfers who surf the river on a permanent wave.
This Munich sightseeing tour by bicycle ends at the operator's shop next to the world famous Hofbrauhaus about four hours after the start at Marienplatz. The absolute best way to see Munich the way the "locals" do, on a bike! Doing our route on your own on foot would be very tiresome but on a bike, it becomes a great adventure, meeting new people, listening to our rich history and having fun at the same time. What is not to like!

This tour was amazing!
Excellent tour with Kevin. Very easy bike ride that took us to places that we would not have seen. Wish we did it the first day with our jet lag instead of waiting to the second day. A must do.
This was an amazing bike ride. Easy ride and beautiful scenery and great guide. The stop in the beer garden was excellent. We also saw the surfers in the river. Great.
The highlight of our 4 days in Munich for our 16-yr-old son who opted to skip the rest of the family's bus ride/castle tour adventure. Mother and son enjoyed our cheery native English-speaking tour guide ours was American, a leisurely paced ride through key sites in the city, and short stops from time to time where our guide offered a nugget about the importance of the site or a bit of history. Terrain was flat with most riding on smaller streets with ample bike lanes or gravel park paths. Riding through the Englischer Garten was a special treat: on a hot, sunny day, we enjoyed riding on cool shady paths near the river and views of sunbathers enjoying a beautiful Sunday afternoon in the park. Beer garden stop was just what the doctor ordered for drinks, refreshments and a German band, then off to see the dare-devil river surfers, another site or two, and back to the shop.
Great way to see Munich with enthusiastic guide-Thanks Kevin.
