Description
Depart from Nairobi to Mt Suswa in the morning at the confirmed time. Mt Suswa is a shield volcano in the Great Rift Valley located between Narok and Nairobi it has a unique 12km double crater system.
Mt Suswa has an inner crater and is a home to snake species and other wildlife like the giraffes, hyena, leopards, zebras, mongoose, turtles, leopards, spotted hyena and the civet. The mountain is a perfect destination from hiking and it takes around 8 hours up and down depending on the fitness of the participants.
We will also visit the lava caves on the outer crater which is one of the best known attractions in Mt. Suswa. The caves are easy to access and also visit the rock painting chambers one of the interesting place were the Masai sleep during the initiation rituals. Some of the caves are believed to host the baboons and the bats.
Later in the evening return to Nairobi to mark the end of the safari.
