1. Daphne Sheldrick ( Elephant Orphanage )

10 am Morning Late morning pick up (

Pick up at hotel within Nairobi or nearest airport )

Observing the orphaned elephant , This is where Daphne Sheldrick has perfected the raising and re-integrating of orphaned elephants into the wild. Open to the public from 11.00am - 12.00pm daily.

2. The Giraffe Center

12.30 pm.

The Africa Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W.) Kenya was founded in 1979 by the late Jock Leslie-Melville, a Kenyan citizen of British descent, and his American-born wife, Betty Leslie-Melville. They began the Giraffe Center after discovering the sad plight of the Rothschild Giraffe. A subspecies of the giraffe found only in the grasslands of East Africa.The Giraffe Center has also become world-famous as a Nature Education Center, educating thousands of Kenyan school children every year.

At the time, the animals had lost their habitat in Western Kenya, with only 130 of them left on the 18,000-acre Soy Ranch that was being sub-divided to resettle squatters. Their first effort to save the subspecies was to bring two young giraffes, Daisy and Marlon, to their home in the Lang’ata suburb, southwest of Nairobi. Here they raised the calves and started a program of breeding giraffe in captivity. This is where the center remains to date.You may also spot warthogs snuffling about in the mud, and there’s an interesting self-guided forest walk through the adjacent Gogo River Bird Sanctuary.

3. Bomas of Kenya

2.30- 5 pm

was started by the Government of Kenya in 1971 as wholly owned subsidiary of the Kenya Tourist Development Cooperation (KTDC) the Company was established to Preserve, Maintain and Promote the Rich Diverse cultural values of various ethnic groups of Kenya and to act as a tourist attraction center thus Bomas of Kenya is expected to preserve the authenticity of the Kenya’s Cultural values and to portray them in the pure form. At the Bomas of Kenya currently we have forty seven (47) different traditional dances collected from different tribes of Kenya.
