The Santa Maria Assunta church is a small jewel of the town center of Positano, located in Piazza Flavio Gioia, a few steps from the Marina beach. Thanks to the evocative majolica dome, composed of yellow, green and blue tiles, it is one of the most visited and photographed attractions of the place, so much so that it has been reproduced over and over again in enchanting paintings.
The crypt, built on the tomb of the patron saint, is adorned with valuable frescoes, the largest of which represents the arrival of the body of Saint Andrew in the cathedral of Amalfi.
