About this activity
When your cruise ship docks at Naples, meet your driver at the port and hop into your air-conditioned minivan with the rest of your small group.
Then, travel south to Sorrento, the cliff-top resort that’s a gateway to the UNESCO-listed Amalfi Coast, a 40-mile (64-km) stretch shore typified by steep cliffs and confetti-colored villages.
On arrival, enjoy an hour of free time to explore picturesque Sorrento as you wish. Perhaps stroll the tangled lanes, enjoy the bars and shops in the central square, Piazza Tasso, or admire the 15th-century cathedral — it’s wholly up to you.
Rejoin your minibus and have your camera ready as you drive along the Amalfi Coast, following the cliff roads between lemon groves and the shimmering Mediterranean below. Arrive in the gorgeous cliffside town of Positano, whose houses cascade down cliffs to a pebbly beach, and enjoy an hour of free time to shop at the chic stores, unwind over coffee or perhaps visit the Church of St Maria Assunta, famous for its tiled dome.
Continue to the town of Amalfi and enjoy an hour to explore its sights at leisure. Perhaps peep inside its marble, 9th-century cathedral, browse the many shops hidden in the lanes or enjoy lunch (own expense) at one of the tempting restaurants. Your last stop is Ravello, higher up the cliffs. With an hour of free time here, maybe look around the impressive cathedral or visit the 13th-century Villa Rufolo (own expense), whose cliff-hugging gardens serve up jaw-dropping coastal views.
Afterward, drive back to Naples where your shore excursion ends back at the cruise port.
Worry-free Shore Excursion:We will ensure your timely return to the Naples port for this activity. In the rare event your ship has departed, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call. If your ship is delayed and you are unable to attend this activity, your money will be refunded. We too the Amalfi Coast tour and where so excited as it was the most anticipated excursion of the entire 14 day cruise! We felt we where in a race the entire time! The driver seemed so rushed with us. I'd read and therefore expected the drive to be a bit rushed, but this driver was ridiculous. I don't scare easily, but I held on for dear life the entire last part of the trip. This trip should be definitely broken down into only two towns allowing for more time to explore. The driver was that and only that, my information, my conversation, nothing!! Just rush, rush, rush, hurry, hurry, hurry. It all went by in a blur, so sadly a very bad impression of my first tour with this company.
The towns were greatThe guide was betterThe drive is unforgettableBuckle up and enjoy the experience
We only got to the first stop didn't get to visit the other two locations as promised. Taken to a restaurant the tour guide suggested, sure he got a kick back. Tour was not worth the money we spent and didn't get to the locations as promised.
We decided to try this tour based on all the wonderful reviews and not being impressed by the cruise ship tours. All I can say is it was Wonderful. Our Driver, Marlo, was wonderful, knowledgeable and personable. He was promptly on time and waiting for us outside our ship. He took us to Amalfi, Sorrento, Positano and Ravello and made sure we knew where we were going and was promptly waiting for us at the agreed upon time. Please do be aware that this trip does involve a lot of traffic time but the time in traffic went by quickly because the sights were so beautiful.Marlo and his tour group continuously kept in contact to avoid traffic wherever possible so we could spend the most time in each place. His expertise in driving was amazing as the roads are very windy and narrow and have to be navigated professionally. He and his crew rimed everything perfectly to make sure we were back in time to catch the ship. I can't say enough wonderful things about Marlo and this tour. Please be sure you take this tour whenever you are in Naples.
Alberto was great as a tour guide and especially a driver along those narrow and winding roads. The highlight was the impromptu lunch just before arriving in Almafi. The food was fantastic. All the views were amazing. Highly recommend this tour.
We were docked in Naples from 7AM - 6PM, last boarding at 5:30PM. We were met by our driver right on time outside of the cruise terminal. The van was comfortable, and a total of 8 passengers (6 of us from the same cruise). We had a fantastic day with stops in Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. In between Positano and Amalfi our driver took us to a little restaurant for lunch (not included in price) and we had a delicious meal. He stopped at picturesque lookout points along the drive and gave us a few minutes to take photos. We fully enjoyed the day and were back at the cruise terminal by 5:15PM. This was a highlight of our trip and a great way to spend the last port day on our cruise. Highly recommend.
A good excursion. Quite long but necessary to take in all that the 4 destinations offers.
