Pompeii and Amalfi Coast - Private Tour

Booked for a group of 8 as part of our private cruise excursion from Naples (preferred to use Viator based on prior experiences versus using the excursion bookings offered by the ship). Very satisfied with outcome and enjoyed it very much. Driver/Alfonso was fantastic; sang few songs during trip and recommended authentic place to eat per our request which was excellent (now we know the taste of a fresh mozzarella). He is a local and knows the road to avoid traffic making the trip worth every minute and memorable. Make sure to book this when you're in Naples and request for Alfonso to show you around.

Family of 8 private pickup was on time and easy to locate. From Naples, we toured Sorrento, lunch and sightseeing at Positano, then on to Pompeii. I can not compliment our driver/guide enough. “Alphonso” arranged our day perfectly. It included photo stops, prearranged parking, skip the line ticket purchase at Pompeii and lunch reservations. In addition to Alphonso’s wonderful personality, his professionalism, and specific knowledge was exceptional.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Giovanni and Pascal. They were both excellent drivers and spoke perfect English. They knew all the safe places to stop for photos and gave us good recommendations on where to go in the two towns. They recommended a personal guide in Pompeii that ended up being fantastic! We learned so much more about this historical city than if we had just wandered around on our own. The took our party of 10 to an amazing local restaurant in the hills of Sorrento where the food was fresh and the wine delicious.I would use either driver/guide again, if we are ever lucky enough to return to the area.

I would recommend Domenico as a driver for anyone who wants to explore the Amalfi coast. He was an excellent driver and had a great sense of humor. He took us to three cities on the Amalfi coast and when it was time for the tour of Pompeii I did not book a tour ahead of time. He kindly called a Pompeii tour guide and she met us at the gate so we were able to have a private tour of Pompeii. The private tour is the way to see Amalfi and Pompeii. Thank you Domenico!!!

If I could give this 10 stars I would. Booked this as a private tour for my husband and I and also my children and their partners. We were docked in naples and was picked up right at the dock by Eugene. He was very animated and gave us a tour of a lifetime. This was my favorite tour of the trip. Arranged a private guide @ Pompeii. The limoncello stop was great! The drive along the Amalfi coat was beautiful with stops in Positano and Sorrento with time for pizza and shopping. What else can I say.......but if you are taking a cruise and have a stop in Naples---highly recommended!
