The Government Museum and Art Gallery was designed by the Swiss born French architect, Le Corbusier. After partition, the division of collections took place on April 10, 1948. Randhawa, the then Chief Commissioner of Chandigarh.

Huge canopied and evergreen trees form the basic landscape here, along with small shrubs and flowers. The park is best suited for a relaxing stroll and horse riding activities.
