Day 2: Delhi

Stop At: Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid), 6 km North of Connaught Pl. across from Lal Qila, New Delhi India
After breakfast, do Delhi sightseeing. Begin at Old Delhi with India’s largest mosque - Jama Masjid. Now, proceed in a rickshaw to Chandni Chowk, one of India’s oldest markets. The ride halts at Red Fort, a magnificent Mughal red sandstone monument, from where you will drive to Humayun’s Tomb, a beautiful garden tomb of 2nd Mughal emperor Humayun. Later, drive past President’s House and India Gate - a War memorial. End at Qutub Minar, world’s tallest brick tower, built in 1192. Also, get a henna tattoo. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Agra - Jaipur

Early morning, visit to the world-renowned Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays). A mausoleum built by Shah Jahan for his queen Mumtaz Mahal, a one man’s monumental testimony to love. Next, you’ll visit Agra Fort. Built by Mughal Emperor Akbar over 1565-73 AD, it was successively occupied and added to by successors.

Return to hotel for breakfast, check-out and drive to Jaipur - the historical capital of Rajasthan. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check-in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Jaipur

Stop At: Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind, Hawa Mahal Tripolia Bazaar Road Badi Choupad, Jaipur 302002 India
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Jaipur covering Jantar Mantar observatory, Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) built in the late 18th century exclusively for the royal women so that they could peer down unseen by the world through its 953 ornate windows called “jharokhas” and balconies. Lastly, take a tour of City Palace, from where the Maharajas of Jaipur ruled, situated at the heart of the city, which also houses the City Palace Museum.

Enjoy breakfast, followed by sightseeing of three stunning forts of Jaipur, which are part of Rajasthan’s UNESCO World Heritage listed Hill Forts of Rajasthan. Visit Amer Fort, Nahargarh Fort and Jaigarh fort.

Return to your hotel and relax.

Evening, proceed to celebrate a group Diwali celebrations at a heritage property. Wear traditional Rajasthani attires, enjoy local folk music and dance, savour delicious Indian sweets and savouries, groove to Bollywood music, and enjoy fireworks.

On the evening of Diwali, candles and traditional diyas (earthen lamps) are lit, homes are decorated, colourful rangoli artwork patterns are designed on the floor, families and friends share sweets and gifts, firecrackers are set, and people get dressed in their festive best.
