Day 01: 21 June: ARRIVAL IN DELHI
Arrive at Delhi International Airport. Meet our representative and transfer to hotel. Relax. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 02: 22 June: DELHI - LEH (BY FLIGHT)
Post breakfast, transfer to the airport to catch flight to Leh (Flight on your own expense). On arrival meet the representative and transfer to the hotel. Check-in and relax to acclimatize. Overnight in Leh.
Day 03: 23 June: LEH - HEMIS FESTIVAL
Post breakfast, drive to Hemis monastery to experience Hemis Festival. The festival is dedicated to the birth of the spiritual leader Padmasambhava, the founder of Tantric Buddhism. Watch and enjoy Cham, a sacred masked dance performed by the Lamas (monks), which marks the victory of good over bad. Hemis monastery is one of the oldest, largest and most popular monasteries in Ladakh. Later, proceed to visit Thiksey Monastery and twelve storey monastery complex, which houses many items of Buddhist art such as stupas, statues, thangkas, wall paintings, swords etc.
Overnight in Leh.
Day 04: 24 Jun: LEH - KHARDUNG LA - NUBRA VALLEY
Post breakfast, check-out and drive to Khardungla Pass (17852 Ft), the world’s highest motorable pass. Drive continues to Nubra Valle, a high-altitude desert. On reaching Nubra, explore Diskit Monastery and nearby areas. Diskit Monastery is the largest and oldest monastery in the Nubra Valley.
Check-in at Hotel / Luxury Camp and then proceed to the cold desert sand dunes to ride on two humped bactrian camel. Overnight in Nubra.
Day 05: 25 Jun: NUBRA - TURTUK - NUBRA
Post breakfast, take a journey to Turtuk Village, the last village on the Indian side and very close to the Indo-Pak border. The culture here is different from the Tibetan Buddhist dominant region of Ladakh, as we will see a sudden shift to a more Islamic community. Later drive back to Nubra and relax. Overnight in Nubra.
Day 06: 26 Jun: NUBRA - KHARDUNG LA - LEH
Post breakfast drive back to Leh city. On arrival relax and later proceed to local market and pick some souvenirs. Overnight in Leh.
Day 07: 27 Jun: LEH - PANGONG TSO
Post early breakfast, head to Pangong Tso or Pangong Lake .En route, cross a wildlife reserve where one may be able to sight some rare Himalayan animals. Drive continues to Pangong via Changla Pass, third highest motorable pass. On arrival, check in to camp and head out to enjoy the breathtaking panorama on the backdrop of this lake. Overnight in Pangong Lake.
Day 08: 28 Jun: PANGONG TSO- LEH
Post breakfast, drive back to Leh city. On arrival, check in.Overnight in Leh.
Day 09: 29 Jun: LEH - DELHI [ BY FLIGHT] [ DEPARTURE]
Post breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport. Board a flight (Flight on own expense) to Delhi. On arrival, connect a flight to your onward journey
