I was sent to India for work and added some personal time. As a solo young woman, I was eager to take in the sights with some company, where possible. Overall, I enjoyed the sights but I'm not sure that paying for a guide was worth it. My guide, Walter, was willing to take my photo in several locations and provided cursory explanations of several elements of each stop. Typically, he got me through a tourist entry to remove shoes, leave behind bag/cover head/drop off electronics if needed, provided an overview of the site and possibly some tips People will ask to take pictures with you don't., then asked me to walk through alone - sometimes with a time limit to meet him at a given location towards the exit. Later, I would find him on his cell phone he seemed disinterested. We made it to 3 of 4 listed sites out of order, likely due to Delhi being a sprawling city and the driver/guide trying to minimize time in traffic. I did not get a chance to visit Iskcon. However, after Lotus, I was told the guide was at my service. I asked to visit some spots a friend from India had recommended and was promptly told they were too far away ... odd, mixed messaging. He agreed to have the driver take me to Qutub Minar - a lovely end to the day and rounded out our exploration of different faith-based sites. As another reviewer mentioned, the South Indian lunch platter at Akshardam was pretty lackluster the guide wouldn't eat it but purchased something small for himself. This was the only spot where bottled water was available would be great if this were provided earlier in the day.
The temples visited are all amazing - this is the main plus of the tour. The tour description is quite misleading however in that it says all entrance fees are included however all the temples are free anyway. The description says it includes lunch but lunch was really a very simple snack a dosa which was good and filling but don't be fooled into thinking you are getting a quality lunch. Our guide first tried to take us to a tourist trap restaurant where we would have to pay for food and surely he would have gotten a cut. All in all I would recommend this tour only because of the temples visited but perhaps look for a different agency for this tour.
