My mother and I took the day trip together and we loved the time we spent in Jaipur. Ashok, our tour guide, was fantastic! He is so knowledgeable about Jaipur and really made our experience unique. Be advised, the day is very long, however it is well worth it!
Our driver picked us up early in Delhi to drive to Jaipur. We picked up our actual guide once we arrived in Jaipur. It is a bit of a drive, but definitely worth the trip. The guide was awesome. He was definitely our favorite tour guide of any of our excursions. He gave us basic information then let us explore on our own. No high pressure sales. Very informative, and he was responsive to our feedback on what we wanted and didn't want to do. The elephant ride to the top of the Amber Fort costs something like 1000 rupees each is worth doing if you have never ridden one before, but be prepared for hawkers to try to sell you pictures when you reach the top which the guide also warned us about. As with all things in India, if you are not interested, be polite but firm and say no, then drop eye contact and continue on your way. Lunch was good, but we were charged for our bottled water which we thought was supposed to be included with our meal which was already paid for in the price of the tour.
I was short on time and this trip was a great way to see Jaipur in a day. The driver DK Sharma was great! he was punctual and navigated traffic safely and with easy. The car was comfortable which made the long drive much better. My car guide was Bharu who was knowledgeable, friendly, and super easy going. He offered to take pictures everywhere we went and ensured I had a great time. At the end you do go to two stores but I felt zero pressure to buy in both situations and the business owners were friendly and nice and happy to just show off their craft.
Having read the reviews for this trip from New Delhi to Jaipur I was hopeful of a first rate adventure. I wasn't disappointed. Shortly after booking I received an accurate text confirmation from the company. on the day of my trip Mr. Prem, my driver, was at the hotel early in a nice, clean, air conditioned car, with plenty of water. The road from New Delhi to Jaipur is a main freight route for trucks, so I considered myself lucky that in 5 trips to India Mr. prem turned out to be the best, and safest driver I've come across. Arriving in Jaipur we met my tour guide, Avi. We did all the top sites in a day and Avi was smart, well informed and good company. Jaipur is an amazing place, and should be on everyone's list of places to visit hen in India. If you are going to make a trip I can't think of a better tour operator to do it with.
Extremely pleased with the guide and driver PCTI/Viator provided on my day trip from Delhi to Jaipur. Pickup was prompt, and my driver was very personable/friendly and knowledgeable. I was given the time and freedom to explore the highlights listed on this trip with interesting background information given by the guide. His recommendation for a lunch site was delicious. My driver provided smooth, safe travel in at times very hectic traffic. The combination of this fascinating city with a tremendous guide and good driver made for a wonderful trip. Highly recommend this.
Ashok Sharma is a splendid tour guide. He has a master's degree in history and is supremely knowledgeable about the sights in Jaipur and the history of India overall. He was extremely friendly and moved at my pace, not his. I had a most enjoyable time and highly recommend.
Great tour from Delhi to Jaipur. The driver was a nice and kind person, his car was impeccably clean and even had plenty of water and snacks to keep me comfortable the entire way. As a solo woman tourist, I highly recommend this tour. The tour guide was quite knowledgeable, but his jokes were not funny and irritated me a bit especially sexist jokes. However, you can of course ignore this. Despite this minor thing, I recommend the tour!
Very nice trip from Delhi to Jaipur, in a nice clean air-conditioned car...We had the best driver - safe, punctual, attentive, helpful accommodating Mr.KK.Sharma and the best guide - knowledgeable, informed, flexible, personable and funny Mr.Ashok Sharma...both speak english very well...every detail was taken care of for us...All the tolls and fees were included...we had lunch at a nice restaurant included which was very plentiful and delicious...was a very good trip and a good value for what we paid...We have a lot of great memory about this wonderful day...Jaipur is great ! Best regards from Canada for the driver and guide ! Thank You KK. and Ashok, we felt as if we was spending time with our friends - and Thank You Pacific Classic Tours India was a memorable day !
