Stop At: Jackson Square, 615 Pere Antoine Alley, New Orleans, LA 70116-3234
This authentic mode of transportation will help you time-travel back to the 1700s and 1800s when death and disease were rampant due to devastating fires, floods, murders, and more! Being that there are only 8-passengers on-board the carriage, the mule-drawn adventure is more intimate and unforgettable. The carriage-driving tour guides are top-rated licensed guides who have been sending chills down spines for over 75 years.
Meet and board at the carriage stand located at 700 Decatur Street. As your carriage departs from Jackson Square, your driver/guide will regale you with stories of the city's founding as the carriage passes through the historic French Quarter street.
Duration: 15 minutes
Stop At: French Quarter, New Orleans, LA
Travel past landmarks such as Saint Louis Cathedral, Jackson Square, Napoleon House, and more as the carriage wind through New Orleans' oldest neighborhood, the French Quarter. Expect stories that are both historical, entertaining and appropriate for all visitors. It's important to understand the history so that you can understand the spirits that haunt the buildings.
New Orleans is considered to be the most haunted city in America. Countless tragedies have happened right in the French Quarter, including devastating floods and fires killing thousands, contagious epidemics resulting in thousands of deaths, and other odd occurrences like weird human torture experiments, medical experiments, love lost, and more. These stories have been documented in police records and history books, and some can be quite alarming! You'll learn about the stories, then about how the "spirits" are letting people know that they are still very present! Do you have goosebumps yet?
Duration: 1 hour

Our host Shawn was giving us incorrect information about the history of New Orleans, and he seemed to be intoxicated. Those who were sitting in the back of the carriage could not hear anything he said. It was supposed to be a haunted tour, but none of us were scared. Bad show.
The carriage tour was cool. Desire, the mule, had personality. Unfortunately, we were sitting in the back so couldn’t hear a few things that were said throughout the tour. We got to see a few cool things on the tour. It started raining towards the end but we powered through the last few minutes.
The tour was fun and informative. The guide was funny and very friendly. Pointing out some very interesting facts that I never heard about the city. A must do if you are visiting the city especially for the first time.
Fun great ride through the Quarter. It was an easy way to see a lot of the FQ bc you’re in a carriage and you’re able to see more than if you were on foot. The guide was friendly and informative and all of us enjoyed it.
Matt was knowledgeable in French Quarter area history. Enjoyed his ghost stories and references to area locations.
We enjoyed this very much. Guide was will informed and fun to listen to. The weather was very hot that night. But I would recommend anyone to take this tour, well worth the money.
enjoyed this tour for the info. that I got from it. the tour guide was very friendly and answered all questions during the tour and after we got back. this tour is very personal as their is never more than 8 people on the tour, on our tour there was only 4 of us.
Wonderful guide and very knowledgeable about the history and folklore. Only 7 of us on we're on the tour. I would do this again!
Loved the idea of it. Thought there would be more of a haunted feel. Horses and traffic just don't mix.
Such a great way to finish a long day! The history is amazing as well as the stories of how places became haunted and by whom. You can bring drinks or they stop at the oldest bar and come out to see if you want one while it's story is told. You will cross Bourbon street multiple times as well
