The driver and guide arrived on time, and were very gracious. Information provided by guide was very good, but as a former resident of New Orleans who had friends from other states with me, I was surprised at how little information was offered without prompting. Plus during the one hour plus ride to plantations, no information or history was provided. Silence. After the tour, which was delayed by the plantation staff holding us for another tour some 45 minutes later, we were asked to pay more for the tour. I was not pleased. But then, to add insult to injury, the bus broke down when leaving to depart back to new Orleans, causing us nearly 2 hour delay. No apologies from the manager, nor any communication or offers to compensate. Much less we were not even offered complimentary beverages for our wait. We then missed our dinner reservations which were planned over three months in advance. And still no one called afterwards to check on us. Inexcusable. NO, I was not pleased and NO, I will never use Viator tours again.
This is was a blast! Bruce our driver and Stevie the tour guide were the best. If you want to know anything about New Orleans this is the trip to go on. Our tour was plantation's but we learned and had a lot of fun learning about many things in New Orleans. Thank you for making our trip great!
