Had a really good time on the cruise. It was very informative and it was great to see Manhattan from this view rather than just staying in the CBD itself.
Excellent crew and captain. EXCELLENT spoke person and we loved the stories and animation that he used. Thank you!
I booked the premium seats for myself and my parents. They each had a rollator and have a difficult time walking. The Circle Line staff both online and in person were super helpful. They carried the two rollators (rolling walkers) up the stairs to the premier seating area. The premier seating was fantastic. If you want a cushioned seat and seat back with two chair arms that are also cushioned....this is the way to go. Temperature controlled and safe area for people not that steady on their feet. Keep in mind, the elderly do have to make it up and down one set of stairs, but there are railings on both sides. Both of my parents went to the handicapped restroom on the first deck and they were thrilled with the large bathroom. So, great 3 hour trip for my folks. It was comfy for people who still want to travel and see the sights in their mid-80's.
We took the Circle Line boat tour around NYC and the 5 Burroughs. It was wonderful. We learned about everything we saw. The guide was knowledgeable and had a great personality. I highly recommend this 2-1/2 hr. tour.
The tour director was great. The sights were better than expected. The food was much too costly. $17 for a sandwich and $4.25 for water was ridiculous.
Negatives 1) We were told that we were to show up early as we needed to exchange our printed tickets for boarding passes. Turned out not to be true. It was an extremely hot day so we then had a lot of time to wait and one of the workers said we could sit at one of the tables with umbrellas located on the pier. 2) We weren't told to stand on a separate line, etc. as we had premium reservations and the 4 of us - all adults - did not sit together. We were on the same line with everyone else. 3) The high prices on the menu were not acceptable. The roll was soggy. This is NY. We know how deli sandwiches should be made. Our guests from London paid for the lunch and the guy did not receive his $8 change which I had to go ask for at the end of the cruise. Our guest then gave that as a tip to the tour guide. Positives 1) The 2 1/2 cruise was loved by the 4 of us! We had been on previous Circle Line cruises and I chose this 2 1/2 cruise to orient our London guests to Manhattan, its boroughs and surrounding areas. 2) The tour guide was very knowledgeable with tons of info. A little bit more quiet time would make the tour super great. 3) The ship was smooth sailing the views were super spectacular!
Nice, leisurely way to view many of the sites of New York while sipping a cocktail. Makes for a good overview.
Great way to see Manhattan. Only issue was having a hard time hearing the guide. Between people talking and maybe low volume.
A great way to see Manhattan and, indeed, all five boroughs. The commentary from our guide was both informative and interesting with a little bit of humour thrown in too. I wouldn't bother with the Premier tickets though. They entitle you to comfy seats on the second deck and waiter service. But the best views by far are on the open deck and bow.
Thx Manhattan Island Cruse was a terrific way to have a full view and experience the city in a whole new way!
Great trip and lots of information provided by the guide. The ship was clean and the staff members were very pleasant.
Great cruise lots of information and interesting. Beware the high prices for refreshments on board - take your own! $5 for a bottle of water! Outragious
Narrator and hostes in the Premeir seating section made this tour, fabulous. I will bring my daughter for a tour.
The amount of educational information shared by the narrator was spectacular. Fantastic 2.5hrs - worth every cent
We had a beautiful day for our 2.5 hour tour. Because of bridge work, we were unable to completely circle the island. However, we still saw most of what we expected, and our guide provided excellent commentary. We got great photos and enjoyed the relaxing cruise after several days of non-stop touring.
What u buy on the internet is a Ticket or Voucher you NEED a " Boarding Pass " so get there an hr before ship leaves so u can exchange for a Boarding Pass !! It's right up front the booth 4 lines no waiting or hassle ..Then if u get Premier they take u right on board tiny line and nicer seats BUT u never need that if u go @ 10am . Great Trip perfect Announcer ,First Class for everyone . Clean, safe ,Large Ship,Clean Rest Rooms,Nice polite people . Prices are fine on board will Go again..Thank YouJeff
We upgraded so we did not have to wait in line. They had a special section for us. they gave you a lovely cookie as a snack. You also had waitress service in this section. Cruise was lovely.
The Circle Line tour was excellent. The trip was enjoyable as well as informational. I would recommend this tour to any interested party. The narrator was extremely knowledgeable of the history of Manhattan. He provided a lot of information that made the tour worthwhile.
