We were there on the Saturday evening of of the MLK holiday weekend and it couldn't have been better. Imagine having highly talented jazz musicians in an ornate and original Brownstone parlor with a couple dozen people for a party. That's what it's like. Walk up the stoop and into the front hall to see people greeting us from the room at the end. Then share some wine and conversation with your host, the artists, and other guests for the evening. Walk into the parlor and be treated to jazz in the tradition of greats like Davis, Monk, Ellington, and so many others. You'll hear about the background of music and the people who made it great. I don't like fish - but the fish fry, slaw, and cornbread were terrific!
We had a lovely time. The jazz was great and the atmosphere was just as nice.
