Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: Wheal Coates Tin Mine, St Agnes England
Imagine a dramatic scene on the coast with an abandoned tin mine surrounded by heather and gorse and then add the view over the Atlantic Ocean and you’ll be almost close to seeing this wonderful place.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Watergate Bay, Newquay TR8 4AA England
One of the best surfing locations on the North Coast.
Duration: 5 minutes
Stop At: St. Mawgan Church, Near Japanese Garden, St. Mawgan, Newquay England
One of the best looking villages in Cornwall, with a cricket ground, pub, Ford and a convent as well as the 13th church.
Duration: 20 minutes
Stop At: Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps, Bedruthan, St Eval PL27 7UW England
Fabulous coastal views with massive rock stacks and loads of seabirds. This is also where the opening sequence of Poldark was filmed. Great cafe for a quick bite to eat or to have a coffee.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Prideaux Place, Pridaeux Place Way, Padstow PL28 8RP England
A charming Elizabethan Manor House built in 1592 and still owned by the same family. Walk around the grounds overlooking the deer park or take a tour of the house.
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Padstow Harbour, Padstow PL28 8DT England
Still a working fishing harbour and also home to chef Rick Stein, it’s now a place to be seen in whilst rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Port Isaac, Port Isaac, Cornwall, England
The home of “Doc Martin” in Portwenn. Wander the narrow streets and immerse yourselves in the hit TV series. All the outside location filming takes place in the village and a walking self guide takes you to all locations. Will you be lucky enough to see them filming?
Duration: 45 minutes
Stop At: Tintagel Castle Castle Road, Tintagel PL34 0HE England
The legend of King Arthur has been around for hundreds of years. This amazing location has fired the imaginations of writers, artists and even the brother of a king. The two halves have just been linked by a new bridge which is stunning from every angle.
Having parked at St Materiana’s Church we can walk down to the bridge to admire the views although entry is now timed and needs to be booked in advance (subject to availability).
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Boscastle Harbour, The Harbour, Boscastle PL35 0AG England
An ancient fishing village tucked into a sheltered natural inlet, it has attractive thatched cottages and white washed walls. Most famous for the 2004 flood that devastated the local area.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: St Nonna's Church, Altarnun PL157SJ England
The church where Doc Martin (Martin Clunes) got married. Also Altarnun has a lodging house where the founder of Methodism John Wesley stayed and sometimes preached.
Duration: 30 minutes
Stop At: Colliford Lake, United Kingdom
A man made reservoir built on Bodmin Moor to ensure that we all have enough drinking water throughout the busy Summer months. I love this place, but I’m a little biased as my late father was the Resident Civil Engineer who built it and also Roadford reservoir further up the road!
Duration: 15 minutes
