About this activity
8:30am (or 1:30pm): Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Nha Trang for our half-day city tour. We will visit Long Son Pagoda first. It was built in 1886, is one of the oldest and biggest pagodas in Nha Trang. It is famous not only with its architectural features but also its history as well. The current Long Son Pagoda is dedicated to the Buddhist monks and nuns who died protesting against the US supported Diem regime.
We continue to visit Po Nagar Cham Towers which were built by Cham civilization between the 7th and 12th century to honor the Mother of Cham Kingdom. Nowadays, this site is a famous pilgrimage place for local people.
Shopping at Dam market is a must. Dam Market is the famous center trade of Nha Trang. It is a popular destination for tourists. It is Nha Trang main Trade Center with all types of local goods, domestic and foreign articles and especially dried sea foods.
Last activity of this trip, you will have time to enjoy Vietnamese coffee at a local shop. With a traditional of careful estate farming, deep roasting, sophisticated blending of heirloom coffee varietals, special brewing and serving method, Vietnamese coffee offers you a unique taste that hardly find anywhere.

We visited the Long Son Pagoda at first but you need to wear appropriate clothing in order to enter( no shorts) which we were not aware of. We also went to the Nha Trang Cathedral which does have an entrance fee if you want to go into the church and look around the grounds. I was aware of this fee before I got there so I had no problem paying it but I told the guide that a sign should be posted as to what this money is going towards. Went to Po Nagar Cham Towers which is an amazing site to view the ancient structures. There is a lot of climbing with this site but once up top you have some great views of the surrounding area. We were taken to The Dam Market which has a lot of merchandise and souveniers to choose from. Finally we were taken for a really good Vietnamese Coffee which was delicious. I would just advise that you know your tour and what it covers and you advise the guide right up front and he is aware of what is expected so you don’t get short changed on the tour you paid for.
