About this activity
Celebrate one of Canada's best tasting and most cherished products, Ontario Ice Wine. Usually in January/February after Niagara has succumbed to the "Polar Punch" (by law in Canada -8 degrees C or 17 degrees F) and the Vineyards have become a wintry wonderland, cold temperatures naturally hard freeze selected grapes, while still in the vineyards, on the vines. Niagara, the biggest ice wine producer in the world typical makes many varietals, the most common being Vidal and Cabernet Franc. Pillitteri Estates Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake is the biggest single producer in the world, and they manufacture an Icewine from Shiraz (Syrah) and Semillion. While it is often too cold to run this tour in winter while the wine is being made, we certainly can run it the rest of the year. Join this private, custom Icewine Tasting and Vineyard Excursion. There will be plenty to do, see, taste and enjoy when you travel the Niagara Ice Wine Trail. You will be picked up at the front door of your Residence, Hotel, B&B or Airbnb in Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake, Canada or Buffalo /Niagara Falls, New York USA in a comfortable casually upscale, private vehicle and whisked away to Ice Wine Country. You will visit up to seven wineries and vineyards who specialize in Ontario Ice Wines. We sell adventures and would love to build a custom experience for you, that is just for you and all about you. Icewines are very sweet, and you may wish to mix in other wineries, breweries, small batch distilleries and/or cider makers into your package along with a trip to Chocolate FX should you so wish it. You can tell us where you wish to go, or we can build you a custom itinerary based on your preferences. Our tours/tastings create memories that last, that you can fondly look back on, until you come again. Your guide will take plenty of photos to memorialize your day.

While this tour certainly makes time to stop for lunch or refreshments anywhere you wish, this is not included in the price. Most wineries charge for tasting samples of their products. Tastings at the wineries are not covered in the Tour Pricing. The pricing does however include all taxes.

This was a phenomenal experience!!! Both Fern our driver and Tammy his assistant were wonderful!!! We started the this tour, bringing a tentative itinerary, which In think really helped us maximize this expeience. However, we were able to visit more locations than I thought would even be possible. And both Fern and Tammy were extremely personable and fun to chat with between locations. Tammy was even took pictures of us at each of locations that we visited. Much better than any selfies would be. To not have to drive in an unfamiliar area, as well as being able to enjoy the ice wine at each location not worry about driving under the influence for which I have zero tolerance led to a great experience!!!
Our tour was perfect!! Our driver was on time, friendly, knowledgeable, shared information about the area, and took us to wineries of our choice. He walked us in, made sure we were taken care of and then politely excused himself so that we were free to take our time and enjoy the wineries. He suggested a great place to lunch, showed us sights on the way, and then offered further recommendations for our time here.
