About this activity
Your trip out to Provence's main area for top vineyards will be around an hour each way. Your expert English speaking guide will discuss the region and its vineyards on the way so that any questions you might have can be answered even before you arrive at the first vineyard.
Visit the cellars of 2 wineries (and have a tasting at a 3rd) during the day, meet the local guides or owners and taste a variety of wines, mainly rosés as that is the specialty. Apart from the noteworthy rosés that come in all funny shapes of bottles, there will be a few whites and reds as well.
Lunch will be a typical French one in a local countryside Bistrot consisting of 2 courses and more wine to enjoy the meal with.
During this enjoyable day out in the beautiful countryside of Provence, you will learn about the vineyards, the varieties used and techniques in growing, you'll learn about the various wine making methods, hear the history of the castles and the general areas.

We so enjoyed our full-day trip to Provence Wine Tasting! Our guide was so friendly and knowledgable about the wines and history of the area. The three wineries visited were all unique and enjoyable. We were able to taste whites and reds in addition to the great Rose produced. Our three course lunch was delicious and so much fun with our diverse group. Thank you for making this trip one of the highlights of our vacation!
This was perhaps the best trip of our entire vacation. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, he took us to several fantastic wineries, and the lunch at a local seafood restaurant was one my favorite meals of the last several years.
We had a wonderful day exploring the Provence countryside. We learned so much about the Appellations, Provence, the grape varieties, and what goes into growing the grapes and making the wine. We had educational sessions and tastings at three very different wineries, and a lovely, leisurely lunch outdoors at a charming bistro. We looked at growing grapes and learned about pruning and cultivation. Our guide, Frank, is himself a winemaker and clearly had deep knowledge about the industry, as well as a love for wine. He seemed to enjoy sharing it with us. We were picked up in Nice at an easy-to-reach spot and our group included a person who used a wheelchair, which Frank handled well. There was some slow traffic at the start of the trip, because of an accident on the highway, but otherwise it was smooth and entirely enjoyable.
There ended up only being 4 of us- we had lots of time at each winery but lunch was a bit long a 2 hours- definitely worth taking the trip!
Tour was very educational and the wine was great.
