Half Day
About this activity
Following an afternoon pickup from your hotel in Nice, meet your guide and hop aboard your air-conditioned minivan for the 45-minute drive (approximate) to nearby Cannes, widely considered among the most glitzy and glamorous cities on the Mediterranean coast.
During your visit, stroll along the famous Croisette Boulevard and soak up the atmosphere in seaside Cannes. Stop by Festival Palace and cast your gaze over the many famous movie stars’ hand prints you find there. Discover chic boutiques and soft, sandy beaches, and take in panoramic views over the distant peaks of the Massif de l’Esterel.
Continue along the coastline to Golfe-Juan, where Napoleon landed in 1815, and Juan-les-Pins. Pass by the famous seafront and take in fine views of Pine Grove — a hip hangout full of sleek cafés and trendy boutiques, where high-class locals and discerning visitors alike soak up the sunshine in style. Admire panoramic sea views from La Garoupe and pass magnificent celebrity villas on the famous Cap d'Antibes before arriving by the ramparts in the town of Antibes.
Here, enjoy some free time to explore highlights such as the Old Town and Picasso Museum (own expense, closed on Mondays) at your leisure. Mingle with the locals as you wander the narrow Provençal streets and don't forget to check out Billionaire's Quay beneath the 15th-century Fort Vauban, where multi-million dollar yachts bob gracefully on the azure-blue waters.
When it’s time to bid farewell to Antibes, hop back aboard your minivan for the coastal drive to your hotel in Nice where your tour will come to an end.

Loved the information and stories provided by the guide Rolf, but definitely won’t be returning to Cannes. Tacky, gaudy and definitely forgettable.
Really enjoyed Antibes beautiful harbor and scenic walled old town. Would have enjoyed going in the morning when the market is active rather than in the afternoon. Cannes is just a stop to see how the rich and famous live. One designer boutique after another. Might have well been on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. Our guide, a Brazilian, woman had excellent English and a good grasp of the historical details. We all would have liked more time in Antibes. We were a family of four and there were two others with our group in a very nice van. I would recommend this trip.
While the driver / guide was very good and courteous the trip is structured poorly. We were dropped around Cannes beach area and were given only 45 minutes to see Cannes, which is totally absurd. It took us 8-10 minutes just to cross the street to the beach side. We really did not see any thing except the portion of the street where we were dropped off. We had no time to even get a drink /coffee.Will go to Cannes on our own by bus 200 or train next time. Antibes was little better as we had 60 minutes to walk around but again no time to sit down for coffee or try local food. Half day label is deceiving as the actual time spent at the 2 locations was only 1.45 hours. The driving to and back took more time than time at the locations. Not good value for approx. 160.00 2 persons.
Our tour guide Eva was awesome. She spent every minute when we were driving in the car to and from a place speaking to us about the history and culture and thought us so much! There was never a dull moment! Antibes and Cannes were incredible to visit. She offered us some great suggestions on how to spend our free time while in the cities. I definitely recommend this!
This was an absolutely wonderful trip. Our guide, Matilde, was just fabulous, brimming with knowledge and engaging and a good driver! A boon to the experience was that we were the ONLY ones on the tour. Both Cannes and Antibes were both charming in different ways and this was a sampler tour of both. The point of us taking this tour was to get a taste of each so we'd know where we'd perhaps want to spend more time in the future and Antibes the Old Town won out for us unless the Film Festival is going on, of course. The only thing that I would suggest would be to add on a wine or cheese tasting to the tour capping it. Merci beaucoup to Matilde for a smashing time!
