About this activity

You will start your excursion with a pick-up from your hotel or any other specified place. Your tour will take you on a nice trip out to the countryside and to the mountains where you will see many different trees, bushes and flowers. On the way, you will meet many companies that sell fruit trees and pots and flowers. Once in St Jeanet, you will enjoy a lovely walk in the beautiful garden. Here, you will get a nice presentation about the production of everything from white, rose and red wine. You can taste all the wines presented during the presentation.

After this, continue the journey to another beautiful and renowned place, St-Paul-de-Vence. A medieval village that has everything. Stunning views, beautiful old houses, narrow winding streets, full of interesting boutiques and galleries, where you will have time to visit on your own, or just sit down at a nice café and watch a petanque's game.

If you prefer the peace and the calm, you can visit the beautiful old church in the middle of the village and its graveyard at the other end of the village, where even Chagall is buried.

When the day trip is over, your guide will take you back to your hotel or predetermined location.

Perfect half day visiting a medieval walled city followed by a delicious sampling of terrific wines. St Paul-de-Vence is a charming little city filled with wonderful shops. We had ample time in the city to explore on our own before our guide picked us up for the lovely drive to St Jeannet where we tasted fantastic wine from a small family run winery.

Our guide made the tour fun and was very informative. The wine tasting was good and we learned a lot about how the wine was made, especially liked the unique art work, painting by a family member, used on his labels. We had about half and hour in St Paul Village, and wished we could have had longer, so many craft and art shops. I would recommend this tour as a very interesting half day, not too far to drive and lots to do.
