The hike was everything advertised but going into a rainforest, every one on this tour wasn’t prepared with a pancho or some other protective over garment; we were drenched so riding back we were soaked and in an air conditioned vehicle. Hope we don’t get pneumonia.
Waterfall was low (not anyone’s fault). Regardless, you do not have the opportunity to swim in the waterfall. It’s a nature hike and viewing experience. Mahalo.
This tour is only for those who are experienced hikers. The track is very slippery and if it wasn't for the wooden pole the tour company provide you would definitely have slipped over at least once. Some of the rock steps are very high (e.g. distance between one step and the next is higher than your foot to knee) so not for those who are not experienced hikers. The weather was hot and humid adding to the discomfort of the tour. The waterfall made the hike worthwhile.
Lacy was such a pleasure and knowledgeable of the surroundings. We enjoyed our morning hike on such a beautiful day.
Laycee was very knowledgeable on all her surroundings from animals to plants and history, glad we booked this tour.
Don’t wear white or new tennis shoes. It’s very muddy from the rainforest environment, but very much worth doing.
We were on the island for 8 days everyday was beautiful but the day we went hiking the island showed us a different form of beauty. It rained, in the rain forest...we had mud everywhere but the photos were gorgeous! The guide gave a tips, about how to safely hike. Very good source of information, from trees, and plants I would have walked by to movie settings that look familiar but not exactly the same. I am really glad they had a hose at the base to wash the mud off before jumping back in the van.
Picking this tour was definitely the correct decision. A beautiful hike with incredible foliage on the way to Oahu’s largest waterfall. Our guide Brie, and trainee Eric were great. In fact Brie was probably one of the best tour guides we have ever had, and we have had many. Her knowledge of the foliage and history of Oahu was amazing, and appreciated, but just as important was her enthusiasm, and humor, for her job and to make sure all of her “guests” were more than 100% satisfied. Brie and Eric make a great team, and Eric could not have a better mentor in his training.
We were in Waikiki on a family vacation. Each time we go to Hawaii, we schedule tours and other fun activities to do. This time we wanted to do the hike up to see the waterfall. Tour company and guides were very professional. Wear bug repellent! Enjoyed the hike and would recommend to families and couples.
The waterfall was beautiful. This is a great way to see the area up close. Our entire family enjoyed the hike. Our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the tour.
Great small group experience. Levent spelling? was very cordial and informative. Very cool adventure.
A serene and quiet view into a world far removed from our everyday hustle. A great guide, knew most all of the flora and fauna that we saw, even on a first name basis with several. Filming location of Jurassic Park movies pointed out and a brief look back in time to the Paleo era. Waterfall was poetic in its drops falling so far downward to the pool. It did rain slightly but it is after all a rain forest, it added to the trip. Excellent hike, wear good boots.
