Stop At: Bob Marley's Mausoleum, Nine Miles, St. Ann's Bay Jamaica

Nine Miles is a quaint village in the beautiful mountains of St. Ann. It was here, on the 6th of February 1945, the legendary "King of Reggae" was born and the very same place he was laid to rest. A tour of Nine Miles is a family affair as many of Bob's close relatives still live there. Once on the property, you are joined by Rastafarian guides who will share insights of the life of young Bob Marley and his musical career. You will observe a room that he slept in as a young child; when he was an adult he used the same room as a 'chill spot', whenever he visited. You visit a nearby Ethiopian Church where the Marley Mausoleum is located. Here you will see two tombs in the mausoleum, one where Bob is laid to rest with his guitar along with his half-brother, Anthony Booker. The second tomb is where their mom, Cedella Booker “Mamma Marley” is buried. Dance and sing along with the live reggae band during the tour of the village.

In the community of Mt. Zion, visit a revival church to experience one of Jamaica's rich heritage and culture. You will be captivated by what you see and hear. Clap, dance, sing along, or just stand by and be enlightened by a true "poco" experience.
