Begin your journey in Oslo by hopping on a comfortable westbound train and taking a scenic ride along the Bergen Railway. After arriving in the town of Mydral, change trains and hop on a train on the popular Flåm Railway, which offers spectacular panoramic views to some of the wildest and most magnificent nature in the Norwegian fjord landscape.

Leave the train and board a boat for a magnificent fjord cruise you’ll never forget. The Aurlandsfjord is a picturesque fjord that offers stunning views, while the Nærøyfjord is a dramatic fjord surrounded by high mountains. Nærøyfjorden is one of the most narrow fjords in Europe and included on UNESCO's World Heritage List.

After the cruise, arrive in village of Gudvangen, nestled in the innermost part of Nærøyfjorden. From here the journey continues with a bus trip through Nærøydalen, full of charming villages and a gorgeous landscape. From May-September the bus travels down the steep hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva. The bus will eventually arrive in Voss, from where you continue the tour by train on the Bergen Railway to Bergen or head back to Oslo straight by train (upon request).

Our group decided to do the Oslo to Oslo tour. It, was, a fast paced. Twenty two hours, but scenery was majestic. Changing trains. Then buses, and ferries. Drivers.. Both train and bus conductors, and, drivers would stop for photo opportunities and beautiful points of interest. We only had two hours, at, Bergen. But this, trip gave us, a, taste, of, Flam, Myrdal and, Bergen. Someday we will go back to Bergen, This trip was, awesome.

The itinerary was indeed perfect. The cruise was just amazing with the Fjord cruise vessel. Beautiful vessel. Sleeping compartment were a bonus to recuperate from the one the go. Well thought!

If one has less time, this is a great tour...to really enjoy the beauty..one needs more time! I wish I had more time to spend walking along the mountains

Truly enjoyed Norway in a Nutshell tour- Oslo-Oslo. Tour is very well organised and packed with best places to see if you are pressed on time. Scenery is breathtaking and Fjords are magical. Tour is very well planed and timed. Tour is SELF-GUIDED, do your research before hand because there will be none to explain where to look and what to see. When booking tour make sure to contact tour agency to specify if you want OSLO-OSLO or OSLO-BERGEN!!! Arthur tour agent was very helpful and kept in contact with us through our journey to make sure we don't miss any ferries and busses. Make sure to bring your phone charger or power bank- trains go through high elevation and battery tend to drain very fast.

Great scenery, especially the Flam Railway and the Fjord cruise.The trip was well organised, travel documents numbered and labelled clearly and all the stages connected perfectly. A lot of activities and travel packed into one day. Really was Norway in a Nutshell!

You will witness the best views of Flam and Bergen on this tour. Our highlight was the train ride. Best view ever!!! Captured gorgeous photos on this leg. Sleep compartment on the way back to Oslo was very clean and comfy. Arturs has been a great guide, always ensuring we are ok.
