Stop At: The Port of Oslo, Akershusstranda 19, Oslo 0150 Norway

Start your tour OUTSIDE the main port gate at the appointed time (please note that the maximum waiting time for late guests is 15 minutes only). Once everybody is ready, you will drive to the Vigeland Park. This one-of-a-kind sculpture park is named after Gustav Vigeland – an artist who has created all the artworks that the park holds. Vigeland’s heritage has become one of the top tourist landmarks in Oslo and consists of more than 200 sculptures out of granite, wrought iron and bronze. After enjoying stunning park constructions and views, you will head for the next point of your tour – the Viking Ship Museum. Discover this museum together with your knowledgeable guide who will introduce some historical facts concerning the Viking era, show the museum’s exhibits to you, including well preserved ancient wooden ships.

Upon your arrival to the city center, you will proceed your tour with Oslo downtown which will strike your view with a great variety of sights, such as the magnificent Akershus castle (also known as Akershus Fortress) – the 13th century medieval construction – and learn that it used to be a prison which grew into a fortress and played a significant role in the military sphere of Norway. Nowadays the Armed Forces Museum is located inside the fortress. Behold the Oslo Cathedral, Parliament Building, National Theatre and the Royal Palace.

At the end of the excursion attend the Oslo City Hall which houses city administration, art studios, galleries and the city council. Devote some time for independent city exploration or a coffee break before transfer back to the ship.
