Winter Bike Tour in Oslo

Sites visited can change based on weather as well as seasonal activities such as Christmas markets, but may include:
• The stunning modern Opera House, with time to explore both the interior and exterior;
• The car-free Akerselva River path including a stop in Oslo's most "alternative" neighborhood full of street art;
• Mathallen or Vippa, two indoor food markets with picturesque water settings;
• Numerous waterfalls;
• Beautifully preserved 19th century industrial architecture;
• The lively neighborhood of Grünerløkka.
• The port area of Aker Brygge and Tjuvholmen, home to some of the city's best modern architecture and restaurants.
• The City Hall, home to the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.
• Karl Johans Gate, the main pedestrian street and home to the city's main Christmas market.

FITNESS LEVEL

A winter bike tour is for experienced cyclists will to ride Norwegian style -- on spiked winter tires! The tour offers a variety of biking opportunities along coastal paths and throughout the city center.This ride may involve a few short and steep hills but otherwise is mostly flat. Stops are frequent for taking pictures and warming up.

Please arrive at the Viking Biking shop at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour. All tours include mandatory helmet. Water, energy bars, rain poncho and souvenirs available for purchase in the Viking Biking shop.
