Put it on your bucket list. What a great fun filled day. William and his crew made a very memorable,enjoyable trip. River tubing is so much fun
Rather than taking an excursion with our ship, our friends recommended this trip to us. We were definitely happy that we took this rather than the ship offered excursion. Our guide is a decendent of the first Englishman on the island. He was left behind by his shipmates and ended up here. His ancestors worked the rivers so they know this area very well. It was pouring rain that day so they changed up the itinerary a bit and offered us a great lunch in their home. The visit to the native village was very informative and the locals could not be more friendly. Our guide knew so much and gave us a run down of what life is like in a typical village. The waterfall was simply breathtaking. We all had a good time swimming and the guides even provided a "show" jumping off the cliffs. Then, the tubing. It was very tame except for a few rapids, which were fun and not dangerous - at least I never felt like I could have been in danger. There was a little rain but that probably helped us more than hurt us. If the sun had been out we would have been so hot! Some family members serenaded us while we had lunch in their home, which was beautiful. Overall, an amazing day! Could not recommend them more!
