Ross was a fabulous guide and shared information not only about the places officially on the tour, but also in the neighborhoods we passed along the way. He knew and shared a lot about the rainforest, the indigenous community that we visited and about the country of Panama. Fantastic!
If I could give this tour six stars I would. This excursion was booked through viator, however, barefoot tours guided us. We had an amazing time. Our guide and boat driver were both top notch. Ross or Russ was our guide. I do not remember our boat driver's name but we were told he was the best and he was. We met at the American Trade Hotel at 8:00 and on our way to the boat our guide told us all about the sites along the way which made the trip very interesting. The monkey island tour was fantastic. The visits to the indigenous village was so very informative. After talking with others who books a similar tour with a different tour company may have gone on the tram but they did not have the exclusive guide service that we did. I would go on this trip, again, in a minute.
This awas Avery fun trip, my guide was very informative. The Boat trip down the Panama Canal was very interesting. Passing thru the monkey spots was cool and the interaction was nice, they all came up to the boats and took fruit from our hands. The village tour was also fascinating, meeting the locals and walking through the jungle. It was rainy but warm and felt the way it should Walking thru a jungle with the locals, primative and a nice break from all our technology And very peaceful.
Saw monkeys guide good for that saw village worth doing learned about their current culture guide nick or nico disorganized and got political which I would just as soon escape from otoh he gave us ride back to our hotel which he didn't have too
This was the highlight of our visit,. The 3 different types of monkies are very entertaining but for us the best part was visiting the native village. Very interesting and uplifting
