About this activity
The walking tour is available on booking. The start point is at the Pape'ete ferry terminal. From monday to sunday two departures : 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. The tour is in French and in English and it lasts around 2:30 hours.
The tour passes by the sea front path towards the Pā'ōfai garden. Then you will discover the institution area with an atypical architecture and quiet places. We continue with Cathedral and Market Place quarter. We will finish with Papeete city hall before going back to the Ferry Terminal.
During the tour we will tell you about the Pape'ete development, the monuments, the streets, the Street Art and the way of life in Pape'ete. There will be nice points of view to take pictures and pleasant stops in hidden and famous places. A special stop will be done at the market place, except sunday afternoon (its closed).
According to your requests it is possible to customize the tour.

It was great to get a customized tour of the city especially on my first real day there. Christian was super friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks to him, I now know the history of many places in the city and how to get to many places.
I happened to be the only tourist on the 1:00 P.M. tour. It turned out to be all on the little train on wheels and no walking. I saw the majority of Papeete. I was scheduled for the 9:00 A.M. tour which did not happen, however the owner made up for it by getting me to the cruise pier after the tour and presenting me with a few local cosmetic gifts. If I travel to Papeete again, I will book the walking tour.
Our guide was the best!! He took us to so many places that we had never heard of and never saw advertised anywhere. He was an expert!! Beautiful city and wonderful and warm people. Thanks to Viator and our guide. Worth every penny!!!
