Such an incredible place to see. Wow! We really enjoyed visiting after the Opera was closed to the public.
I booked this tour so that I could have photos of the opera without people in them. Instead there was a modern dance company rehearsing on the grand stairs and in some of the halls. We were on a tour with 30 people so it was hard to hear our tour guide. To make things worse our guide kept getting shushed by the dance company. We couldnt get close to the grand staircase or some other main areas of the opera. Our guide was grasping for places to take us and so were the other guides. We all just kept running into each other. I requested a redo of this tour which would basically cost the company very little and would leave me very happy but I received a flat no. I think it was very greedy of the tour company to have tours on a day when parts of the main area of the opera are closed.
Absolutely beautiful! As a Phantom of the Opera fan this was one of the highlights for my trip. It seemed as though we had the whole Opera house to ourselves. Martin our guide showed us the Phantom's reserved balcony and even allowed us entrance to see it. What an amazing experience and the pictures I took were fantastic!! Thanks Martin for an unforgettable experience.
An awesome experience. So nice to see the place without having to fight crowds. Our tour guide was excellent as well!
The building is amazing and it was wonderful having some of the history explained. I found this tour comparable to visiting Versailles.
Excellent tour and quite thorough. Just give a heads-up about the need to exchange voucher for ticket at the entrance. Also make clear that the entrance is around the front of the building to the left and then way in the back.
What a wonderful tour. The Opera House is not to be missed. Our guide went into great detail about the construction. Even got to go into the Phantom of the Opera box where he's rumored to be lurking.
