We were welcomed by an absolutely hungover tour guide! He nearest remember what he spoke and slept off for almost the entire ride without giving us any information. This tour promised visit to Moët and that was shown to us only from outside of the gate! There were no tastings at Moet as advertised neither did they take us for the hot air balloon ride as on the voucher (citing weather issues) despite the weather being nice and bright! Our tour guide said that for Hoy Air Balloon Ride there should be “not too much sun, not too many clouds, not much of wind, no rain etc etc” not sure what is actually required as we have done hot air ballooning before and don’t buy this reasoning at all! We paid a lot of money for this “luxury” tour which was an absolute rip off! Drive off to the beautiful region by yourself and discover more for less!
We were in Paris for a week and decided to have 1 day out of the city. This was the best day of our holiday. The day was planned exceptionally and our tour guide Ahmed was so knowledgeable about all things France and Champagne. Highly recommend.
This was the highlight of our trip! The group size of 12 was perfect, and we were transported every where in a luxury van. The mix of the boutique champagne house and the large champagne exporter Moet was a great mix. Hugo was a bunch of fun and he and the owner of the boutique champagne house taught us so much about champagne and history of the region. It was very relaxed and we were allowed to wander through the rows of grape vines picking and eating the grapes! The champagne was delicious, too.
