Day 1: Perth to Dunsborough

Our adventure begins as we travel south with our first stop at the popular tourist town of Busselton. It’s hard to miss the 19th-century Jetty stretching 1.8km into spectacular Geographe Bay. Here we’ll have a coffee on the waterfront and chat about what exciting things are to come.

Go deep down into the magical Ngilgi Cave to see a beautiful array of crystal formations that are over 500,000 years old

Have a picnic lunch at Yallingup

Give your taste buds a workout as we spend the afternoon sampling some of the world’s best wine and produce. Visit a chocolate factory, cheese factory and of course plenty of wineries and boutique breweries.

We’ll be having dinner and spending the night in popular tourist hotspot Dunsborough, loved for its sparkling calm clear water, white sandy beaches and great evening vibes. Drive time today is about 4 hours with lots of stops along the way.

Day 2: Dunsborough to Walpole
Stop At: Margaret River Mouth Beach, Margaret River, Western Australia 6285 Australia
After breakfast, we’ll head to the Margaret River township where you’ll have some time to explore the eclectic mix of shops and galleries. We’ll grab a coffee before setting off on a two-hour leisurely canoe along the pristine and calm river Margaret River. Enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking one of the worlds best surf breaks – Surfers Point.

Stop At: Hamelin Bay Jetty, via Hamelin Bay Road Near The Boat Ramp, Hamelin Bay, Western Australia 6288 Australia
Back on the road we’ll stop at Hamlin Bay where if you are lucky you will see some huge stingrays.

Stop At: Walpole, Walpole, Western Australia
Next, if you are feeling brave you can climb the 51-metre Diamond Tree, a native karri tree once used as a fire lookout and 1 of only 3 wooden top towers in the world. Then we’ll head into the wilderness of Walpole where we’ll be having dinner and spending the night. About 4 hours of drive time to cover today.
Please note – if the weather isn’t suitable for canoeing in the cooler months, the alternative itinerary is taking a tour of the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. Located in Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park, the views are amazing of the Indian Ocean, Cape Naturaliste, and the beautiful Geographe Bay coastline and perfect for photography or for just soaking in the beauty of the Cape region.

Day 3: Walpole, Albany to Perth
Stop At: Walpole-Nornalup National Park, 120 Km West of Albany Great Southern Region, Walpole, Western Australia 6398 Australia
This morning we’ll explore the stunning beauty of the Walpole region and bushwalk through a giant forest of towering Red Tingle trees, many of which are over 400 years old.

Stop At: William Bay National Park, William Bay National Park, Western Australia
From the forest to the ocean as next it’s onto William Bay National Park where you will be amazed by the paradise that is Greens Pool. A magical turquoise beach completely sheltered by massive rocks, it’s the perfect place to have a swim in the warmer months.

Stop At: Torndirrup National Park, Turn Left Just Before End of Salmon Hole Rd, 10 Km South of Albany, Albany, Western Australia 6330 Australia
Then get ready for some epic coastline on our way into Albany. See how years of erosion have crafted incredible rock sculptures and granite bluffs in the Torndirrup National Park. Natural Bridge and The Gap are two of our favourites

Stop At: Albany, Albany, Western Australia
We’ll have some lunch in the historical township of Albany before hitting the road back to Perth.
Around 6 hours of drive time today with lots of stops along the way and stunningly diverse scenery. As our 3-day tour comes to an end we’ll roll into Perth around 6.30pm.
