Visit and tasting at San Lorenzo winery

Enjoy a walk through the vast estate and discover the secrets of wine production at "Vini San Lorenzo" winery of Castilenti. In the winery set among vineyards, ponds and ancient farmhouses you will enter the wise world of wine-making process, in perfect balance between ancient traditions and avant-garde techniques.

The ancient cellar, housed in the sixteenth-century De Sterlich palace, will host, among its medieval vaults, a tasting of the company's native products.

Then, visit of the vineyard focusing on the technical aspects of production (eg conventional agriculture, organic farming, tillage, vine training, yield per hectare etc). Understand winery strategies and production techniques. In this phase, the basic notions of winemaking theory will be provided.

Lastly, basic notions of sensory analysis and tasting techniques will be introduced in combination with hot and cold gastronomic preparations. In the form of an educational laboratory, it will be possible to hypothesize, try and verify food and wine combinations.
