Stop At: Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, Corner of Street 113 & St 350 History Museum, Phnom Penh 12304 Cambodia
After meeting your guide at your hotel at 8am this morning you will go on a discover tour of Cambodia’s Capital and, gain some insight into its recent dark history with a visit to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Taken over by the Khmer Rouge, this former high school was converted into a detention and torture center known as ‘S-21’. It can be a little grim, but an important visit that allows one to dig below the surface and understand present day Cambodia better.

Stop At: Russian Market, Corner of Street 163 and Street 444, Phnom Penh Cambodia
Onward to a lighter side of Cambodia at the Russian Market (so called because a large number of Russian Expats who shopped here in the 1980’s) it is a great experience and the best place in the city for wood and stone carvings, jewelry, clothes and Cambodian silk souvenirs. We can’t vouch for the authenticity of the ‘labelled’ products. but it is great fun.

Stop At: Wat Phnom, Street 96 Norodom Blvd, Phnom Penh Cambodia
In the afternoon Wrap up the tour with a visit to the hilltop Wat Phnom temple, the founding place of the city.

Stop At: Royal Palace, Sothearos between Street 240 & 184, Phnom Penh Cambodia
Then continue to the Royal Palace, followed by the Silver Pagoda, named for the over 5,000 heavy silver tiles that cover its floors. Its original name is Wat Prakeo, meaning Temple of the Emerald Buddha; the temple is known for its collection of Buddhas in gold, silver, crystal, and bronze.

Stop At: Mekong River, Phnom Penh Cambodia
You will then board a boat for a beautiful sunset view of the city from a Mekong river boat before returning to your hotel.
