Itinerary

Stop At: Kandal Market, Street 13 Ang Eng Blvd, Phnom Penh Cambodia
Around 8 AM, your guide will meet up at your guest house/hotel to discover and reveal the real Phnom Penh. We'll start at the Phsar Kandal morning market and bite into all of its delicacies and mouth-watering street-eats. We'll head to the old French Quarter, home to classic colonial architecture, and experience the contrast of gorgeously restored builds, and beautifully decaying abodes. We'll move further back in time and experience the Buddhist temple of Wat Phnom to understand the foundation on which Phnom Penh is built.
We'll then continue moving through the city and pass by Raffles Hotel, the old post building, the abandoned train station, and Cambodia’s largest market ""Psah Thmei"". You'll have the chance to discover the market’s best offerings, from antique coins, gold, and shoes to plastic goods, flowers, and food.
At the end of our city exploration, it is time to pay respect to the dark history of the Cambodian genocide. From 1976 to 1979, the Khmer Rouge ruled Cambodia with their own form of ultra-Marxism, resulting in the deaths of millions whose effects are still clearly felt today. Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21) was once a high school and was converted into a detention and torture center during the Khmer Rouge regime. Tuol Sleng remains today to remind us and educate us about this dark time in Cambodian history.
After a long morning, we'll return back to your guest house/hotel in Phnom Penh.
