About this activity
Spend a day touring spectacular islands off the coast of Phuket with this private charter on our speedboat, Little Dolphin. Admire the coral reefs and marine fauna that populates the Andaman Sea and enjoy plenty of time to rest, relax and soak up the sun.
Meet your guide at Chalong Pier around 8am and a short briefing will be provided. Embark on our speedboat and head to Racha Yai Island.
The clear and tranquil waters of Racha Yai are surrounded by fringing, rocky, first hard coral reefs, which taper off into the sand, rubble sand seabed. Its proximity to Phuket, generally natural conditions and diversity of dive sites make it a favorite day trip spot. Currents can be stiff at times, but drift diving is the way to go here.
Marine life is great and includes lots of moray eels, schools of small barracudas, twinspot snappers and fusiliers, trumpet fish, juvenile boxfish and even critters like cockatoo waspish, frogfish, sea moth and pipefish can be found here. Titan triggerfish take care about some entertainment too.
The second island Racha Noi, farther south, 8 km from its big sister, is not inhabited and has only a small white sand beach. Its shape is very elongated because it is seven kilometers long and 500 meters wide. It is actually made up of 2 separate islands of only 200 meters. Diving between Racha Yai and Noi are usually very good. However, they are reserved for experienced divers because the currents can in low season is very strong.
This day tour includes, expert guides, snorkeling and diving equipment, and round-trip hotel transport are covered. It’s the perfect way to make the most of your vacation in Phuket!
