Stop At: Furnas, Sao Miguel Portugal
We start our tour in Ponta Delgada visiting a private pineapple (the most popular fruit) plantation. Then we'll drive along the South coast (with several stops along the way) until the beautiful valley of Furnas. There we will find amazing thermal pools, gardens and if you wish you can taste the traditional stew that is made under the ground. The way back is made along the North side of the island, again with several stops along the way (tea plantation and more).
For cruise ships, our tours are always shorter as the cruise ships make stops of just a few hours. (6 - 9 horas). If you are coming by ship cruise, I advise you to contact me by email.

Antonio was a wonderful tour guide. He was waiting for us when we got off our ship, and took us around as much of the island as we could fit in, dropping us off about 30 minutes before the all aboard. He was very knowledgeable and customizes the tour to whatever you want to do. In our case, we wanted to swim in the hot springs, which many tours will not do because of time. He was more than willing, and it was a great experience. We also saw the tea plantation (where he explained the process of making tea leaves), the small " yellowstone" area (as he called it) of the Azores, and the pineapple plantation (where he again described the process of growing pineapples). He also took us to several scenic overlooks and into a fishing village. He was a great guide, we highly recommend him. He was very professional from our first correspondence, and he even sent me some links of areas to review before our trip. He is a solo business, so depends on good reviews and word of mouth. You will not be disappointed if you book with him.
