I took this tour on my 4th visit to Ponta Delgada as a port call on a cruise. By far this was the best excursion that I have taken. The small van (6 passengers and the driver/guide) was able to get us closer to attractions with less walking than the cruise bus tours. This tour is definitely preferable for those with mobility issues. I really liked the stop at the tea plantation, did not see this available on cruise shore excursions. The tour guide was knowledgeable. The only downside....I was sitting on the rear seat of the van and vehicle noise prevented hearing some of the comments made by the guide. Those sitting closer to him could hear him much better. I would still highly recommend this tour.
Tour was fantastic. Guide spoke English well, was personable, was flexible in spending more time in our areas of interest. Private car was comfortable for our party of 4. We enjoyed our day!
