Whale Watching in the Azores Half-Day Tour

The Azores are currently one of the world’s largest whale sanctuaries. More than 25 different types of cetaceans can be spotted here, which corresponds to a third of the total number of existing species. This ecosystem has unique characteristics, majestic whales and friendly dolphins that become even more magic around these nine islands.

Before you board a boat the biologists will give you a briefing on which cetacean species can be observed. You will also hear safety measures aboard, how to respect the animals and rules of observation at sea, as well as some historical facts. During the tour each passenger is required to wear a life vest (except on the catamaran).
