Sandboarding, Port Stephens
You have to experience sandboarding in Port Stephens. The thrill of sliding down the spectacular Stockton Sand Dunes is so much fun!
From our meeting point at Birubi beach, you will board our custom built off road vehicles to start you adventure on the short, bouncy ride into the largest moving sand mass in the southern hemisphere.
The dunes stretch 32 kilometres, that’s the entire length of Stockton Beach, and can reach over 30 metres high, that’s like a 10 storey building. The views alone are spectacular.
Once we are in the dunes, our team will give you a run down on sandboarding and how to use our hand made custom designed boards for maximum safety and speed!
Then you are off.
Climb to the top of the dunes, jump on your board, slide on down and repeat! Your ticket includes unlimited sandboarding (or unlimited fun!) so you can stay and play as long as you like. For most people that’s about 1 – 1.5hours.
When your done just jump back aboard our 4WD buses (they leave every half an hour) to be taken back to the Birubi Beach starting point.
It’s an amazing experience for everyone, no matter your age.
Our instructors are always on hand to help and answer any questions about sandboarding Port Stephens or the dunes and to make sure you have maximum fun!

How long is the tour?
You can stay for us much unlimited sandboarding fun as you can handle – for most people that’s about 1 -1.5 hours
What days does the tour run?
Daily Monday – Sunday, 365 days a year (yep, even Christmas day)
What time does it depart?
The first bus leaves at 10:00am with shuttles leaving every half an hour till 3.30pm Times extended in the School Holidays
How many people can go?
We can cater from groups from 1 to 200 people per trip
How much does it cost?
$28 per adult (16+)
$20 per child (4-16)
(Children under 3 years are free)
What to bring
It’s best to keep your hands free when sandboarding so you don’t need to bring much we do suggest:
• A bottle of water (it’s thirsty work!)
• Sunscreen & a hat (you’ll be outside so don’t forget to slip, slop, slap)
• Camera (there’ll be lots of memories to capture)
• A light jacket (it can get a little windy & cool on the dunes, best to be prepared!)
