Stop At: Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe, 608 SW Alder St, Portland, OR 97205, USA
We’ll leave Director Park and walk several blocks to Moonstruck Chocolates, one of the oldest craft chocolate makers currently operating in Portland, and certainly the best known. We will sample handcrafted chocolate designed with the best ingredients the Pacific Northwest has to offer; and created to look as exquisite as they taste.

Stop At: Cacao, 414 SW 13th Ave, Portland, OR 97205, USA
Another comfortable city walk will take us to Cacao, a shop known not just for its delicious wares, but also for its cameo role in the TV show Portlandia (we'll explain!). Beyond pop culture, the important thing here is amazingly high-quality chocolate and the rich, dark house-made drinking chocolate. While we wait for the drinking chocolate to be prepared, we will peruse their curated collection of premier chocolate from craft producers around the world -- and chat a little about the difference between white and dark chocolates.

It's not an Around Portland Tours experience without at least talking about doughnuts! We'll walk by what we consider the best chocolate doughnut experience in Portland, and taste our favorites (based on availability the day of tour). If our favorite options are sold out, we'll send you away with an alternative goodie from a nearby shop that has its way with other sorts of cakes.

Stop At: Azar Indulgences, 319 SW Pine St (Inside The Embassy Suites Building), Portland, OR 97204-2725
We'll walk down through the funky Portland West End and stop at Azar Indulgences, where owner Christine Azar has designed her ideal combination of both handcrafted Belgian-style chocolates from her family's company in Lebanon, and wine carefully selected from both local and international winemakers. Azar's one-of-a-kind chocolates are made in a family tradition going back over a century; we'll taste a selection of our favorite of these chocolates (although to be honest it's so hard to pick!) and wine, as well.
